Your guide to fall festivals, local events, pumpkin picking + things to do around Montco from September through November 2026.
Fall might be our favorite time to live in Montgomery County. The weather finally cools down, weekends fill up with festivals and farmers markets, and there’s always something happening in one of our local towns.
So whether you’re looking for something to do with the kids, a Saturday afternoon outside, a fall date night or just an excuse to explore another corner of Montco, we pulled together some of the events worth having on your calendar this season.
Save this one. We’ll take you from September 18 through the end of November.
SEPTEMBER
Conshohocken Funfest
September 19 | 12–8 PM | Conshohocken
Starting close to home! Funfest takes over Fayette Street with live music, outdoor dining, vendors, community organizations and a kids’ area with free games and activities. It’s been a Conshohocken tradition for more than 30 years and is such a fun way to kick off fall locally.
Pennypacker Mills Craft Marketplace
September 19 | 9:30 AM–3 PM | Schwenksville
The Friends of Pennypacker Mills host their annual Craft Marketplace with handmade goods, food, gifts and local vendors on the grounds of the historic estate.
Big Rig Roundup
September 25 | 5:30–8 PM | Blue Bell
If you have little kids who lose their minds over trucks, put this one on the calendar. Whitpain Township brings together fire trucks, construction vehicles, tractors and more. There’s also a sensory-friendly minimal-noise period from 5:30–6:30 PM.
Whitpain Community Festival
September 26 | 12–8 PM | Blue Bell
The next day, Montgomery County Community College hosts the Whitpain Community Festival with games, face painting, a pumpkin patch, petting zoo, pony rides, hayrides, crafts, live music and more.
Jenkintown Festival of the Arts
September 27 | 1–6 PM | Jenkintown
Downtown Jenkintown turns into one big outdoor arts festival with handmade goods, food, live music and activities. It’s one of the larger arts festivals in Montgomery County and a great excuse to walk around town for the afternoon.
OCTOBER
October is when Montco really shows off.
Skippack Days
October 3 | 10 AM–6 PM | Skippack
Spend the day walking Skippack Village and shopping from local artists and makers. Skippack Days has been around for more than 40 years and is one of those quintessential Montco fall weekends.
Lower Providence Community Fall Festival
October 3 | 12–5 PM | Eagleville
A classic community fall festival with food, music, local vendors and activities for the kids, including touch-a-truck.
Boo at the Zoo
October 3–November 1 | Norristown
Halloween starts early at Elmwood Park Zoo. Boo at the Zoo runs throughout October and into November, making this an easy one to work into a fall weekend with the kids.
Nor-View Farm Fall Fun Festival
October 10, 17 + 24 | 10 AM–6 PM | King of Prussia
Three Saturdays of fall fun at Nor-View Farm with live music, food and craft vendors, hayrides, a pumpkin patch and more. It’s family- and dog-friendly, too.
Harvest Fair
October 10 | 10 AM–4 PM | Trappe
Head to the Muhlenberg House and Speaker’s House for live music, food, colonial kids’ games, local makers, cider making, historic demonstrations and tours. A good pick if you want something a little different from the traditional pumpkin-patch day.
Pumpkin Fest at Arader Farm
October 10 + 17 | 10 AM–6 PM | Collegeville
Think tractor rides, a corn maze, kids’ activities, food, beer and live music. Basically, all the fall things in one place.
Upper Gwynedd Fall Fest
October 17 | 11 AM–3 PM | North Wales
Parkside Place Park fills up with family activities, hayrides, food, vendors, crafts and a scarecrow decorating contest.
Montgomery County Autumn Festival
October 17 | 12–5 PM | Montgomeryville
Another big community fall day with live entertainment, food, fall crafts, amusements, emergency-services demonstrations and more at William F. Maule Park at Windlestrae.
Ardmore Day
October 17 | 11 AM–4 PM | Ardmore
A full day celebrating downtown Ardmore, including food, family activities and the Ardbark Dog Parade + Contest, which might be enough reason to go on its own.
All Hallows Eve Fall Festival
October 24 | 12–4 PM | Schwenksville
Pennypacker Mills goes all in on old-fashioned fall with pumpkin painting, kids’ crafts, apple cider pressing, corn shucking and family hayrides around the property.
Harvest Heritage Day
October 24 | 10 AM–4 PM | Lansdale
Morgan Log House celebrates fall + its historic 1774 property with hands-on activities, local artists, history and seasonal fun throughout the grounds.
Skippack FallFest
October 24 | 11 AM–4 PM | Skippack
Another reason to head back to Skippack. This free event at the historic Allebach & Cholet Farm includes hayrides, pumpkins for kids, live animals, refreshments and a look at the area’s farming history.
Pennsylvania Chocolate + Coffee Festival
October 24–25 | 9 AM–5 PM | Oaks
Coffee + chocolate. We really don’t need to say much more.
The Greater Philadelphia Expo Center fills with coffee, chocolate, gourmet treats, shopping and family-friendly activities for the weekend.
DON’T FORGET THE FARMS
You don’t necessarily need an official festival date to make a fall day out of it.
Northern Star Farm in Trappe is hosting its annual Fall Fest every Saturday + Sunday through November 1 with pumpkin picking, hayrides, a corn maze, pony rides, apple picking, fall treats and more.
Kohler Farms in the Ambler/Horsham area is another local option for pumpkins, hayrides and classic fall farm activities.
And honestly, sometimes the best fall plan is the simplest one: grab a coffee, pick a town you haven’t walked around in a while and make an afternoon of it.
NOVEMBER
November is that sweet spot where we’re still hanging onto fall, but the first holiday traditions start sneaking onto the calendar.
Peter Wentz Farmstead Harvest Festival
November 7 | 10 AM–4 PM
See what fall harvest would have looked like on a colonial farm with cider pressing, candle dipping, cooking demonstrations and hands-on activities. The event is free and designed for all ages.
Kids Makerspace: Lenape Games
November 14 | 1–3 PM | Lansdale
Morgan Log House hosts a free family Makerspace where kids can learn, create and take part in hands-on activities inspired by history.
Early American Candle-Making Workshop
November 14 | 1 PM | Pottstown
Pottsgrove Manor is hosting a hands-on beeswax candle-making workshop just as we head toward the holidays. Participants will make a hand-dipped candle and cinnamon-scented ornament. Registration is required and space is limited.
Lansdale Holiday Mardi Gras Parade
November 21 | Lansdale
Yes, it’s called Mardi Gras. Yes, it happens in November. And yes, it’s a Lansdale tradition.
The annual parade brings Santa to town and officially starts the holiday season in the borough.
Holiday Tours at Pennypacker Mills
Beginning November 24 | Schwenksville
By Thanksgiving week, Pennypacker Mills begins its holiday programming, making this an easy transition from your fall bucket list into everything Christmas.
Twelfth Night Tours at Pottsgrove Manor
Beginning November 28 | Pottstown
Thanksgiving weekend officially kicks off the holiday season at Pottsgrove Manor with historic holiday tours exploring how families celebrated during the Revolutionary era.
MAKE A FALL DAY OF IT
One of the best parts about living in Montgomery County is how different every little pocket feels.
Spend the morning at a farm in Trappe, walk through Skippack in the afternoon. Head to an event in Blue Bell and grab dinner in Ambler afterward. Take the kids to something in Lansdale, explore Jenkintown for the afternoon or make a date out of an event in Ardmore.
There’s a lot happening here between now and Thanksgiving — and plenty of reasons to get out and enjoy where we live.
