The Buttery in Bryn Mawr: One of Our Favorite Local Spots
One of the best parts about living and working in the Philadelphia suburbs is discovering the places that quickly become part of your routine.
Whether it's your Saturday morning coffee stop, a place to catch up with friends, or somewhere to grab breakfast before running errands, every neighborhood has those spots you find yourself returning to again and again.
Recently, we stopped by The Buttery in Bryn Mawr, and it absolutely lived up to everything we'd heard.
First Impressions
The first thing we noticed was just how welcoming the space felt.
It's bright, airy, and thoughtfully designed, with plenty of seating whether you're grabbing coffee by yourself, meeting a friend, or bringing the whole family. We also appreciated that there are both front and rear entrances, with a parking lot behind the building, making it an easy stop even when Bryn Mawr is busy.
The staff couldn't have been friendlier. Everyone we interacted with was genuinely welcoming, which made the experience even better.
Before you leave, be sure to browse the shelves near the register. They have a curated selection of modern home goods, gifts, pantry items, and branded merchandise that feels just as thoughtfully chosen as the café itself.
What We Ordered
Like any good coffee stop, we had to start with our go-to order: hot vanilla lattes. They definitely did not disappoint.
For breakfast, we ordered the Quiche Lorraine and the Harissa Sandwich, and we'd happily order both again. The quiche was rich and flavorful, while the harissa sandwich had just the right amount of spice.
And of course, we couldn't leave without trying one of their pastries. Sophia was more than happy to help with that review.
One of our favorite discoveries wasn't even on our table. The Buttery sells homemade croutons and homemade granola, and we immediately thought they'd make such a fun hostess gift for a dinner party or weekend get-together. It's one of those little details that makes a place memorable.
